Learning Anywhere
Living in Michigan you need to utilize the nice weather while you have it! This day was too beautiful to waste, as a result we took Social Studies outside for the day. This slightly changed the original lesson plans but being flexible and prepared allowed this lesson to be a success!
DIFFERENTIATION
As a result of growing knowledge in Special Education services a student’s Least Restrictive Environment has changed frequently over the history of education. It is common to have five to seven, if not more, students in your classroom with a 504 or an IEP. Due to the needs of your students differentiating your lessons is a necessity.
BEHAVIOR STRATEGIES
TOP 10 STRATEGIES
In the Behavior and Environment in Special Education class, we created a strategies menu of 100 different classroom management tools; this is the list of the top 10 strategies I picked from that list.
This was a product of peer collaboration. The other teacher candidates and I observed and practiced diverse behavior strategies. We thought it helpful to put the ones we found easiest to implement and the most effective into a strategies menu.
